Michael McDonald is going to perform in the Arena at Trump Taj Mahal in July. Michael McDonald, born in 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri is an American R’n’B/ Soul singer and songwriter. He is also a great guitar and keyboard player so in his early career he played in many bands like Mike and the Majestics, the Reebtoors and others. But in 1970 he was “discovered” playing with a band called Blue in a club and afterwards he moved to L.A. There he began to work with Steely Dan for a while and then he started working with the Dobbie Brothers in 1976. He transformed the band in a soulful rock group which released some great songs, like Little Darling (I Need You) or “You Belong To Me” and many others.

He immediately became a famous singer and emerged from the 70’s rock scene and that’s how he began his solo career in 1982. Since then he has released 8 albums. His recently released Motown label album is called Soul Speak and 3 songs are already in the top ten chart. Now it is thirty years that his Grammy winning career began and he worked together with some very famous songwriters such as Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Anita Baker, Stanley Clarke and so on.
