Canada’s online gambling, which is in the legal grey zone, is affected by the United States. Soon the gaming world in Canada will be regulated and legal.

There will be a large market in the time when the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) will be removed. Many companies are preparing for this time. One of these companies is the ALC (Atlantic Lottery Corporation) which had developed its gambling games, including instant win products.

While the Canadian companies are preparing for the day when gambling will be legal in their country, experts are worried about the fact that gambling addictions will increase. ALC member Paula Dyke said that it´s not going to happen, that the company wants just to refresh the products which already exit.

Canadian Atlantic provinces, which will decide the destiny of gambling, hope for millions of annual incomes from ALC. The international gambling market is full of Canadian companies.
Canada is trying to legalize online gambling since 1997, when MP David Mills promoted a bill for it. His idea was to regulate the underground gaming economy.

This project failed, because the Prime Minister Jean Chretien did not support the bill.
Now nobody knows how the situation will end and if finally the online gambling will be legalized in Canada, the only guess is that the ALC is doing the right thing.
