Harrah's has lost an important board member
The Las Vegas-based company Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. reported a couple of days ago that an important board member, Jeanne P. Jackson, just discharged herself from the board of directors.
Jeanne P. Jackson worked for Harrah’s Entertainment Company since April 2008 and the reason why she left so immediately is yet unknown. She couldn’t even be reached for a comment.
This woman has an important career behind. Since 1978, she has held various management positions like with the Walt Disney Company, Saks Fifth Avenue, Federated Department Stores and Victoria’s secret. She was CEO of Walmart.com for 2 years, from 2000 to 2002. Besides, she was the president and CEO of Banana Republic from 1995 to 2000 and served also with Gap Inc.
Nike Inc. of Beaverton, Ore., reported last month that Mrs. Jackson, 57 years old, who is a member of its board of directors since 2001, had been named t the created role of President of Direct to Consumer for the company.
Her role will be to drive Nike’s global retail efforts that mean also the Nike retail stores all around the world. Besides, she has to report all that to Nike Chief Executive Mark Parker.
She is also the president of the United States Ski and Snowboard Foundation Board of Trustees.
